The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (UNISAME) is pleased to announce the inclusion of the  Small Medium Agri Businesses Association (SMABA) as an affiliate in its fold to promote the cause of the farm sector which is the primary source of raw material.
UNISAME aims at creating awareness that agriculture is the backbone of the economy and deserves priority of the policy makers and full support of the government in modernizing farms.
SMABA is  basically a forum of SME Farmers and related businesses sponsored by UNISAME and Zulfikar Thaver is the Convener and the acting president.
The aim and object of SMABA is to impress upon the government to promote, support, facilitate, help and also motivate the SME farmers to adopt modern methods,obtain high standard equipment and farm machinery, quality seeds, certified fumigation,insecticides, pesticides materials.
There is need for research and development in every aspect of farming.
UNISAME and SMABA are both vigorously making efforts to educate the farmers and have also institutional support from SMEDA and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also expressed its earnest desire to support agriculture more and more. The financial support to agriculture by SBP is noteworthy and has made an impact already.
UNISAME and SMABA are desirous that the farm sector and Agri based businesses be given the priority it deserves by virtue of its vast potentiality.
